Fitting Our Pieces Together

Philippians 2:1-2 (NIV) Therefore, if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.

Have you ever put a puzzle together and there was one piece that was bent or even broken, making it difficult to fit in its place and unify the entire puzzle? That’s exactly how it is for the church body. The body can look full and united in appearance. But if we did a heart check we’d sadly see that some of the hearts of the people who make up the church are not united with love for each other in Christ. Therefore, the spirit of Christ’s church and His people is broken and not fitting together. Are you a broken piece of the church body? Whatever the blame is for your brokenness, please surrender it to Jesus so He can heal your hurt and take your pain away. There is too much at stake if you remain broken. You are a chosen piece of the body of Jesus. He wants you, you need Him, and the church body doesn’t have a replacement piece that can fit together with the rest of its pieces. Your uniqueness was especially made for fitting our pieces together to make the church body whole in the Spirit of Jesus’ love. Selah.
