Where Are You Looking?
Luke 9:62 (NIV) Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the Kingdom of God.”
No matter how often we wipe the dust off of what ‘used to be’, it’s not going to benefit us in the present or the future, especially if we get stuck there. Where is ‘there’? ‘There’ is in the past – behind us – and it causes us to digress away from Who and what we should be progressing toward. God and His Kingdom are our present and future assignments, and we are required to look forward at the path ahead of us in order to be fitting for our assigned service. We can’t expect to fulfill our Kingdom mission for God with our eyes set on the yesteryears of how life used to be. Where are you looking? I hope that your ‘there’ is ‘up and forward’…straight ahead where God is.
