Are You Credible?

“People who do not vote have no line of credit with people who are elected and thus pose no threat to those who act against our interests.” – Marian Wright Edelman. (1939-Present) American activist for civil rights and children’s rights

The political arena is a part of our life, and it is something we have to participate in because we have a stake in deciding what type of leadership we want to follow. We have a say as to who we believe has a priority to make better our communities and the citizens who live in them. It’s unfortunate when a small percentage of people have to pull the weight for the majority. It takes all of us to make a difference. It takes all of us to show that we are credible by participating in the voting process. Win or lose – it’s better to cast a vote with hope than to give it away effortlessly by not voting at all. What are we going to do? We’re going to cast our voice and vote. “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Proverbs 29:2 (NIV)
