Gifts Unopened
John 15:16 (NIV) “You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.”
We are deceived when we think that we are living our best life because we are comfortable. It’s a nice place to visit from time to time – that comfort zone. But we don’t want to settle there. Far beyond its borders is where God wants us to go. He has placed gifts within us that cannot come to fruition unless we take the necessary risks and step out on faith to discover what those gifts are. Our gifts don’t always manifest with ease. They have to be developed, and that takes some stretching, tugging, and pressing. But eventually, we become fruitful vessels – just as the Lord intended. Don’t choose to just stay in your comfort zone. Have the desire to discover all of your God-given gifts. Trust God to help you bring to the light what He has placed inside of you.
