Chosen Instruments
Acts 9:15 (NLT) But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to the kings, as well as to the people of Israel. And I will show him how much he must suffer for my name’s sake.

Even Ananias – a faithful believer in Jesus – had doubts about the Lord wanting him to lay hands on Saul so that Saul’s sight would be restored. After all, Saul was a persecutor of Jesus. He was bad news, and everyone knew it! But it wasn’t the business of Ananias or anyone else to remind Jesus about Saul. Jesus knew Saul better than Saul knew himself. It is the same for you and for me. Regardless of our past or current behavior – Jesus can call us, change us, and choose us – to be instrumental in serving His Kingdom purposes. AND – regardless of our history; regardless of skeptical and judgmental opinions formed by the people around us – the will of God prevails against obstacles that form against us. You and I are chosen instruments. Jesus gives our sinful souls chances to do right. Let’s do the same for each other.
