Defeating Temptations
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NLT) No temptation has taken over you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Today, Christians worldwide will begin fasting and praying during this 40-day Lent season that is symbolic to the forty days Jesus spent in the wilderness while being tempted by the devil. As you enter this Holy and commemorative season, ask Jesus in advance to be with you and to sustain you when the temptations of daily life attempt to lessen the significance of what fasting and praying means for you. Fasting and praying causes blessed changes in your life. The sacrifices you make in observance of Lent won’t be as difficult as the sacrifice our Savior made on the cross for all of mankind. But the adversary will do his best to make you feel defeated. You already know that nothing can defeat you when you ask Jesus for His help. May your spiritual life and your physical life be cleansed and refreshed all to the Glory of Jesus Christ.
