Hidden In Print

“When you don’t know what you don’t know, you’ve got to read.”
Dr. Solomon Carter Fuller (1872-1953) Liberian and African American neurologist, psychiatrist, pathologist, professor

Knowledge and power are doorways to freedom that are often hidden in print still to this day.           Our slave ancestors knew it. They risked the chance of getting caught and suffering abuse so they could learn to read and help their fellow slaves to be able to do the same. They knew there were doorways within the printed pages that would enlighten them to lies and secrets their owners didn’t want them to ever know about – especially the truth about God’s love for them. What do you think you know that you really don’t know? The neglect of our privilege to read holds us hostage to our own ignorance. The ancestors must me shaking their heads and wringing their hands over us. Don’t let hearsay be enough for you, because what you hear is only what someone says, and it still doesn’t provide what you will discover from reading and filtering through your own frame of thoughts. Not too savvy with the Bible? If you don’t read this Eternal best-seller, you’ll be bound and lost for your entire life. A-B-C-D-E-F-G – don’t you think you ought to READ?                                                                        John 8:32 (NLT) “…Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
