God Will Bless Your Humility
1 Peter 3:12 (NLT) The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.

In my earlier years of working, there was an incident when my employer gave me a project to work on for him. At that time, I shared the one office computer with another co-worker, so I set up a separate document file to keep my work in. Periodically, I updated my employer on the progress I was making until the project was finished. One day, a co-worker setting up a meeting at the office where he gave a presentation to my employer – in front of me and other employees – of the work I had done! I was dumbfounded and hurt as I watched my employer praise my co-worker and his presentation as if he had never seen it before. I did not sleep that night. The next morning, my employer was already at the office waiting for me. Before I could say a word, he told me that he came in early to thank me for the strength and control I demonstrated. He had immediately recognized that the work belonged to me, but he went along with it to see how far my humility would stretch. He said he knew it wasn’t easy for me, but his observation of my character was more interesting than the presentation. My employer’s words blessed and strengthened my spirit, and many blessings came my way following that incident. I tell you this to encourage you to always be the best version of yourself, especially when someone tries to provoke you. God has a way about Him when it comes to making the crooked places straight. Stay in your lane, and let His grace and mercy cover you.
