Pace Yourself

Hebrews 12:1b;2a (NLT) And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.

We’re 31 days into this New Year. How many of you have already given up on some of the goals that – only four short weeks ago - you set out to accomplish within this year? What’s wrong with you??? ‘Oh, ye of little faith’! Anything worth having is worth working for – that is – if you really want it and believe you can have it. It takes faith and patience. If you gain some things too quickly, it’s likely that you will lose it just as fast. You have got to pace yourself so you won’t end up disappointing yourself. God promises to help you if you will commit what you do to Him and trust Him (Psalm 37:5). So don’t settle into the thought that your goals just weren’t meant to be. Get up, and start again. But this time, assess your plan, let God be your goal-factor, get your mindset in agreement with your mission, and 3…2…1…get it done!
