More Than An Inclination

“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go get it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” Howard Thurman (1899-1981) American Author, Philosopher, Theologian, Educator, and Civil Rights Leader

How can you tell that you are living and serving from a place of passion and not a place of momentary notion in your life? Well, what you do has a humbling effect on your spirit nature. It grounds you and keeps you keenly aware of what you have to offer in the world. You feel like you’re working from the heart of God in what you do. You are accessible and sincere to people who need what you have to offer. If what you do provides you with a title, position, or level of pay that is suddenly stripped away from you, the fullness of your life and the quality of your life’s service would continue without a hitch. It’s more than an inclination that you are working within what makes you come alive, and it’s all because of the Person Who lives in you. Psalm 34:12;14 (NLT) Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.
