Dwell In the Lord’s Peace
2Thessaloinians 3:16 (NLT) Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation.
Knowing the Lord also means dwelling in His peace that He places within you. His is a unique peace that overrides common contentment. You’ve heard of the ‘eye’ of a hurricane – that center spot where it is most calm while the horrific storm swirls and lashes out around it. The inner peace of God is like that tornado eye, except that while His peace is in the center of you, it also creates an outer shield that protects you from being tossed and torn by the storms of life that swirl and lash out around you! God’s peace can make you look like you’re crazy when chaos is happening and you’re just chillin’. “Do something!” is what everyone expects of you. Well, you are doing something when you dwell in God’s peace. When you know your limits, and you’ve done all you can do within those limits, resting in the peace of God is the best thing you can decide to do. God will protect you and deliver you from the storms of life. Question: Is God’s peace worth you looking like a fool to the world? Answer: Yep!
