Secret Calculations
Matthew 2:7-8 (NLT) Then Herod called for a private meeting with the wise men, and he learned from them the time when the star first appeared. Then he told them, “Go to Bethlehem and search carefully for the child. And when you find him, come back and tell me so that I can go and worship him, too!”
God will interrupt a bad thing to make it a good thing, and He will interrupt a good thing to make it a great thing – as was the case for Joseph and Mary. God will also interrupt a bad thing and cancel it all together, just as He did when he warned the three wise men in a dream not to go back to Herod and report of their finding baby Jesus. Halleluiah! The God we serve, the Living God we surrender our entire life to – He cannot be outwitted by secret and manipulative calculations. Herod attempted to set up the unknowing wise men as spies to help him in his plan to kill Jesus. But God! Ha! He protected Jesus and the three wise men – and he thwarted Herod’s evil plan! God protects you and me from sinful hearts, twisted minds, and sugar-coated tongues that secretly calculate ways to destroy our lives. We need not worry or fear. We have ‘Emmanuel’ – God is with us.
