See What Jesus Sees
Mark 8:24-25 (NLT) The man looked around. “Yes,” he said, “I see people, but I can’t see them very clearly. They look like trees walking around.” Then Jesus placed his hands on the man’s eyes again, and his eyes were opened. His sight was completely restored, and he could see everything clearly.
When Jesus touched him the first time, the blind man in Bethsaida said the people ‘looked like’ walking trees. However, after Jesus gave him a second touch, the man’s vision was complete and he could see everything as it actually was. It is my fervent prayer that Jesus will touch each of us so that we may see what He sees. I pray for Jesus to touch our hearts and minds as many times as necessary so that we may see clearly through the power of spiritual understanding. May we no longer be blinded by the limits of our physical sight and intellectual thoughts. May we grow in love and compassion for the lives of all people. May we serve in Kingdom capacity and be the blessing God intends for us to be towards our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and in creation. This is my prayer for you and me.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
