Subservient Submission
Matthew 23:12 (NLT) “But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

God is working for us and through us all of the time, but we miss a lot of His work when the vessel that is meant to serve Him gets in the way. You’ve had that phenomenal feeling that rises up in you when you’re doing what you do well to the point that it draws the attention of people. But you also know that it is the Helper within you that stirs your gumption that makes it possible for you to do whatever it is God is delivering through you. When the supernatural high settles down, and the praises of the people are still in your ear – that’s when problems occur. By all means – rejoice and give God praise for what you experienced by His power. Continue to give Him the credit and praise that lingers long after your assignment is over. Don’t let it stroke your pride. Stay humble. Enjoy the flow. The applause you receive from God will last far longer and feel far grander to your spirit than any attention you could ever receive from the world.
