Much Or Little
1 Timothy 6:9 (NLT) But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.

The poor man longs for riches so he can live a comfortable life without worries of having want for anything. The rich man longs for a simpler life that has less stress or the burdens of obligations and duties. The poor man wants privilege. The rich man wants peace. They swap places for a moment, but soon swap back feeling that they are better off in their own conditions rather than in each other’s. Still, they long for ‘something’ to help them in their discontent. One Person – Jesus – makes everything alright in whatever condition of life you’re in. Having riches or less than most doesn’t mean as much to people who have a servant’s heart, because they look to the hills from where their help comes and they live in the joy of the Lord – whether with much or little. Jesus is everything and more. Amen.
