Thanksgiving
Matthew 6:11 (KJV) Give us this day our daily bread.
Heavenly Father,
We say ‘thank You’ for Your loving heart and gentle hands. We say ‘thank you’ for your unending faithfulness towards us. For every day of life you grant us here in the earth, You provide us with daily bread that nurtures and sustains us. “Thank You,” Father. Your daily bread develops and trains us. In everything you do for us You do it with love and purpose, and we say, “Thank You.” We thank You for feeding our physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and social hungers by providing work, income, food, family, prayer, Your Holy Word, the Holy Spirit, Jesus, friendships, community, the church body, faith, hope, and love. You provide this abundance for us, and the greatest of these is ‘Love’.
We pause to give thanks to You for all of Your gifts of love to us on this Thanksgiving Day.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
