Deliberate Gratitude
Romans 1:21 (NIV) For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”
William Arthur Ward (1921-1994) American Motivational Writer

Gratitude possesses the unequivocal nature of igniting the joy and hope of Jesus in the hearts of people. But that cannot happen if it is not expressed. Pure gratitude does not permit the sentiments of closed-mind, closed-handed, and closed mouth forms of appreciation. How thankful are you that God let His Only Son die so you could be saved? How grateful are you for the privilege to have a relationship with Jesus – and – to have the Holy Spirit living within you as your lifelong companion and guide? How grateful are you for the relationships and resources God provides to you each day? Our reasons for being grateful are endless. Therefore, our expressions of gratitude toward God ought not ever cease.
