You Compliment Me
Ephesians 5:33 (NLT) So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

The ‘three of them’ decided they would no longer attend the annual class reunions. Parker and Sloan had become the oddballs out, and they were cool with that. At the first two reunions, they were still single and dating each other. Times with their friends were fun. But now as a married couple, they’ve noticed a shift in how their friends receive them. For Parker – he became less welcomed by the guys because he would not divulge his intimacy with Sloan, nor would he talk about other women as sexual objects. As for Sloan – she set herself apart from her girlfriends who had become a den of wolves who let her know they would take her husband away from her. No…Parker and Sloan’s marriage was bound and sealed. The ‘three of them’ – God, Parker, and Sloan – are the keepers of their union. It is to God and to each other that they are able to say, “You compliment me.”
