Small Beginnings
Celebrating the Faithfulness of God (1865-1900) Rev. R.R. Watson
Zechariah 4:10 (NLT) Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, …

This is the marvelous way of our Almighty God! From His realm in Eternity, He speaks into time and seeds great things in the earth…lasting things in the form of small beginnings. You see – God plants people, not places! Whether He plants us under a bridge, beside a rock, or in an old blacksmith’s shop – God uses small beginnings to form the character of His church to have dedication, commitment, humility, endurance, etc. With gentle hands, God prepares us to receive Kingdom empowerment. It’s an inside job that is best developed within the covering of small beginnings. Big attractions cause big distractions! God knows exactly what He is doing! His church consists of His people. All of our strength and purpose are grounded in Him from the start. This is what makes us able to acknowledge the present while looking toward the future with an understanding that we’ve come this far by faith! Spend time reflecting on yourself and your family unit. Be assured that God is up to something big in your life!
