We Die To Awaken
John 16:22 (NLT) “…So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy.”
Dr. Myles Munroe (1954-2014) Make your life on earth count---for yourself and others.
Our God has a way about Him that keeps us in total awe of how complete His plans are for our lives. The more time we spend with Him and the more time we pray and study His Word with other believers, the more we can expect Him to open our minds up to a deeper understanding of what actually happens when someone dies. A loved one’s death is never easy to accept. As believers in Christ, we understand that when our loved ones die ‘to’ their flesh they live ‘in Christ’, and when they die ‘in’ their flesh, they go on to live ‘with Christ’. In essence, our loved ones awaken to the life they lived to die for. Sadly, for those of us left to continue living in the earth, it is not until the occurrence of a death that we have awareness of the spiritual truth that believers walked out while they were alive. Death can spark the awakening of a spirit that lies dead within a person even as he/she lives. This does not have to be for us, because the Spirit of the Living God burns brightly within all who believe in Him and who receive Him! So while we’re here, let’s ‘make our life on earth count – for ourselves and others’.
