Shield and Response
James 1:196 (NLT) Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.

Coretta Scott King (1927-2006)Hatred is too great a burden to bear. It injures the hater more than it injures the hated.”

Deciding to do things God’s way is worth every sacrifice we make and suffering we go through. God gives us the strength and endurance we need to shield ourselves and respond in His love when we are attacked by hatred. That doesn’t mean we don’t hurt or get angered; nor does it mean we don’t stand firm in our force through a fight. Functioning in the will of God does not negate our humanness, but it does manifest the power of His Presence in us and with us. Hatred is a weapon Satan uses for self-inflicted and projected destruction among God’s ‘called out ones’. But keep your armor on, saints. Our being able to shield and respond through Love Himself will protect and direct us in our spiritual conduct so that His righteousness will forever be prevalent in this dying world.
