You Can’t Have My Destiny!
Genesis 3:12-13(NLT) The man replied, “It was the woman you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it. Then the Lord God asked the woman, “What have you done?” “The serpent deceived me,” she replied. “That is why I ate it.”
Listen at the excuses Adam and Eve gave the Lord for their disobedience! Do you think that Adam even realized he was blaming his Heavenly Father for the disobedience he had committed? As for Eve, did she really think that blaming the serpent for her disobedience would cover her deception to God’s command? Small-minded, selfish thinking will produce excuses every time. That’s all we’re doing when we cast blame on other people or circumstances or obstacles as reason for our not doing what we know we are supposed to do. Listen – don’t let anything or anyone, including yourself – be your excuse for you not stepping into your destiny! Own your stuff, and seek the Lord for grace and mercy to help you along your way. If you don’t, you’re just going to make it that much easier for someone else to get what was meant exclusively for you!
