Devotion
Tumultuous Times
Matthew 24:7-8 (NLT) “Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all of this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.”
Father God, we dare not cease our prayers to You, thanking You for Your faithfulness and mercy towards us. Jesus spoke of the tumultuous times that will take place in the earth, and we attest to such things taking place. In our homeland and across the foreign seas - there is obstruction of justice, natural disasters, global diseases, death - raging throughout this world. It’s a scary scene, Father. But we, Your people who are called by Your Name, humbly bow before You, praying and seeking Your face amid the tragedies before us. We repent of our sins, and we ask that You have mercy on all of humanity’s sins against You. Save us, and restore us unto You! We believe in Your promises to us, and we believe in the coming of Your Kingdom! Steady our faith in You, and keep us protected in the palm of Your mighty hands. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
