No Competition In Christ
Galatians 6:4-5 (NIV) Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct. the poor insult their Maker; those who rejoice at the misfortune of others will be punished.

Competition causes many churches to become incapable of moving forward in their mission work. One church body may be flourishing with activity and progress for God’s Kingdom, while another church body is in reserved limbo – waiting for God to send them a new thing to do - that will outdo what a fellow church is doing. That’s not how God works. That’s not how He intends for His church to work. There is no competition in the body of Christ because every church collectively makes up one entire body. For every church body that exists, there are missions to be fulfilled that have the same Kingdom purpose but different manners in which they are to be done. We live in a competitive world, but we are not citizens of competition. We are Kingdom servant citizens of God, and we have the one and same purpose to fulfill. That is to reach the world for Jesus Christ. There is so much work to do. Where is there even any time for the whole body of Christ to be in competition? There is no time. Let’s be in agreement and give attention to our Lord and the work He has set before us. May His will be done through the hand and hearts of His believing saints.
