Iron In The Fire
Luke 1:37(NIV) For no word from God will ever fail.

I’ve had times when I struggled with something I was trying to work out, and I would end up facing another obstacle that hindered me from resolving the matter I was already dealing with. As I reflect on those times, I recall laying my initial struggle aside just long enough to work through the other obstacle. It turned out that it was actually an opportunity for me to shift my focus and discover a way to work out my prior struggle more effectively. Like iron in the fire, I entered the process of figuring things out one way, but I came out of it a new and improved way that made me more capable in how I approached and accomplished what I was trying to do. All in all, if we see the obstacles outside of us for what they are – opportunities disguised as challenges – and not build obstacles in our head, we can better walk in the understanding that we can grow from every difficulty. Be like the iron in the fire. There’s something in the heat of things that makes us come out stronger than we are when we first go in!
