Stop Backsliding
Matthew 26:41 (NLT) “Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.

If you beat up on yourself with guilt and regret because you backslid on something you vowed you’d never do again - only to turn around and do just that thing – well, listen up. You can avoid taking yourself through this cycle of behavior. You simply need to ‘take God seriously’ and ‘be serious about obeying God’. When temptations come a calling, don’t answer! Take a daily plunge into what God says to you in His Word, and absorb it so you will have strength against your enticements. When that same old temptation tries to holler at you with a new pitch, you need only stoke the Word that is in you and handle yourself in obedience to God’s will. Backsliding lets you know that you have an area of your life that needs some Godly discipline. God’s grace and mercy are already in place to help you, but you can help yourself by choosing to purposely do what blesses you and glorifies God. So, stop backsliding!
