Glorious Gray Hair
Proverbs 16:31 (NLT) Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained by living a godly life.

I used to ask the Lord to help me to embrace the natural changes that have occurred with my body over the years. The elders of my youth were so right in their telling me to ‘enjoy my youth because one day it would begin to fade away’. Here I am today living in that truth. One thing about my elders that I have always admired is that regardless of their physical conditions, they prided themselves on every gray hair on their head. They groomed it and wore it as a crown that bore the glory of every day of blessings the Lord bestowed upon them over their lifetime. I think about my crown of gray, especially when I am celebrating a new birthday. I’ll admit that I’ve gotten caught up in my feelings and dyed my hair before; and depending on my prerogative I may do it again. But overall, I admire the color God has implemented. I see my gray hair as a silver crown I wear in my service to the Lord, because I choose to live a Godly life!
