Mountain Peak Vision
Isaiah 40:4-5(NLT) Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places as plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together.

Why is it that our troubles look so huge when we are down in the valley? What direction should we take? How will we get over or around this? Who will help us? If only we would still our troubled souls and hear the Holy Spirit saying, “Look again, but look with eyes of faith.” We can’t see God when we’re down in the valley because we are looking too low! There – up high above the jagged edges of our troubles – is an optimum view of just how small our distresses really are. What can surpass the Greatness of God? Nothing! Compared to Him, all of our valleys compiled together are minute! While in our valleys, faith helps us to view things with mountain peak vision. Therein, we can see how God helps us – not over or around – but ‘through’ our valleys. And when we arrive to the other side – my, oh my – the Glory of the Lord is quite a view to see!
