Ask God
James 4:2c,3 (NIV) You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

If we get rid of the things (pride, selfishness, ulterior motives, etc.) that get in the way our asking God for what we need and make our requests from a place of genuine core faith in Him, He will surely provide. If we have yet to learn about the ways of God, then it will be difficult to receive from Him what we’re needing. We make the mistake of hooking up with individuals we attach ourselves to as though they are ‘mini gods’ in our life. We immediately think of them first when we have a need.   God is the only One Who has all the answers and provisions for whatever we may ask for. God is the only One Who knows what’s best for us – whether we like it or not. We just simply need to approach Him with the right kind of heart – that’s all. If we’re not willing to have a heart filled with goodness and love for God and our brothers and sisters, then we don’t have anything we need to ask God for. Everything God He has for us comes from a place of love. Don’t believe me? Just ask Him.
