Devotion
Village Care
Colossians 3:23-24 (NLT) Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
Principals and their administrative staff, teachers, students, parents, cafeteria and facilities staff, security personnel, bus drivers and crossing guards (please add yourself in if I missed you) are returning to school with the anticipation and hope of helping our children further their development in the academic, extracurricular, and social climates. We want everyone involved to have the best of focus, health, and safety. Every member of our community can go before God in intercessory prayer on the behalf of our school system and the education family. Likewise, community members can offer prayers for the working and stay at home parents, guardian, and neighbors who provide village care for those who are headed back to class. May our prayers be for the Lord to bless everyone with strength, wisdom, and compassion as they work together to provide and support the needs of our children and the needs of the adults in whom we entrust their care. May the teachers use their gifts to ignite the brilliant mind of each and every child, and may the children consume what they are learning with an unquenchable thirst for more! May our every effort as a community of caring people give our children the clear understanding that we believe in them. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
