Devotion
Isaiah 30:21(NLT) Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.
Our Deeper Sense
Our five natural senses help us to engage in the rich beauty, sounds, aromas, flavors, and textures in the world. But our sixth sense- our deeper sense – gives us something extra special that we can depend on to help us enjoy and appreciate life even if we had to do without one of our natural senses. Our deeper sense is that of the Holy Spirit. He lives in our innermost being, and He speaks to us in a language that becomes familiar to us when we spend time tuning in and connecting with Him. He suggests things that we wouldn’t ordinarily think of, and when we respond to His call we are blessed in ways we didn’t see coming. He cautions us when something isn’t right or when danger is near. He is our intercessor when we’re hurting and can’t seem to find the words we need to pray to God. He disciplines our souls by convicting us when we’re wrong, and He causes us to rejoice over the Goodness of God! We are blessed beyond measure for all of our senses that help make life more meaningful for us. We especially thank God for our sixth sense – our deeper sense – the Holy Spirit.
