Deuteronomy 29:29(NLT) “The Lord our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions.”

Communicate Your Boundaries
Our compliance to passivity helps to create an atmosphere of confusion that leads to disregard and disrespect. An example is when we laugh and go along with jokes that are funny to us only because they don’t directly impact us at the time. But what happens when we become the victim of a prank that we earlier found amusing? How would we react? Who would be to blame for crossing our boundary that we did not take into consideration for another person, yet we uphold it for ourselves? We can’t hold anyone but ourselves accountable when we do not communicate our boundaries clearly by our actions and our words. Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:12 to ‘do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.’ My brothers and sisters, just as we are responsible for abiding by the scriptural boundaries out of obedience and respect to God, we also have the responsibility of caring about each other enough to not create atmospheres that will damage our respect and love for one another. Take into consideration how best to treat people. Communicate your boundaries, and give the same respect you expect to receive in return.
