Perpetual Hope
(Isaiah 42:9/NIV) “See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.”
To have a sense of perpetual peace you must let go of the perpetual baggage you hold onto. The disappointments, setbacks, and losses that represent long ago pains in your life – you’ve got to cut them loose – once and forever! They are the reason why you can’t keep count of your blessings; you don’t have enough memory storage to share between your hurts and your halleluiahs. God has promised you that when you place your hope in Him you won’t ever be disappointed or put to shame (Romans 5:5). That means He will take the disappointments you do experience and you will experience in this world and turn them in to something wonderful and positive for your life. That’s reason enough to have perpetual hope. Think about it like this: As long as you hold on to your disappointments, you are denying yourself the wonderful things God has to give you in exchange. Are you guilty of doing this to yourself…to God? Release all of your baggage right now, and from this day forward receive the never-ending hope God has for you!
