Compassionate Men
(Psalm 103:13) As a father as compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;…

“The strongest, toughest men all have compassion. They’re not heartless and cold. You have to be man enough to have compassion – to care about people and about your children.” Denzel Hayes Washington, Jr. (American actor, director, and producer) 1954 – present

There is a certain drive created in the DNA of men that makes them instinctively display their compassionate side in versatile ways. They are fun, competitive, supportive, dedicated, defensive, intelligent, hardworking, respectful, goal-oriented, loving and protective. All of these qualities are assets through which their compassionate side is channeled. Through their relationship with parents, siblings, and friends the stages of their compassionate side grow and strengthen. A love interest elevates them to another level of compassion wherein they commune with God on a deeper level to understand and embrace what calls their heart. Son, nephew, brother, friend, business owner, husband, and child of God are a few descriptive positions in the life of men that give them honor and by which they show different forms of compassion with affirmative strength. But the greatest expression of compassion, the deepest strength, the most immense form of love to be witnessed of men since the beginning of time is demonstrated when he becomes a father. Whether it is his first of the fifth time – fatherhood allows men to commune with God on the deepest level. To physically hold the evidence of the purest love there is brings the compassionate side of men to completion, and for the rest of their lives – of all the titles and positions he will acquire – none will surpass the one given to him by his children.                                                                                          Happy Father’s Day to every compassionate man who has the honor of being called Da-Da, Daddy, Da-deeee, Dad, Papa, Father, Step-Dad, Hero, Mentor, Guide, and Friend.
