A The Word Blossoms!
(Mark 4:18,19b, 20/NIV) “Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word;…and the desire for other things come and choke the word, making it unfruitful. Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”
It blesses my soul beyond measure when I can help someone who is seeking understanding of the Word of God, and they grab hold of its meaning with sheer gratification. The fruit of their faithfulness and stewardship to what the Word means in their life blossoms inwardly and outwardly. Blessings come that not only impact their lives, but blessings flow through them to impact the lives of other people. Unfortunately, there are people who hear and respond to the Word on a one-dimensional level. Selectively, they only embrace what they think will grant them what they want when they want it – for themselves alone. In essence, they’re just making life happen on their own. Hopefully, sooner rather than later – they realize that walking fully in the light of God’s Word is the only way to experience the blossoms it will produce in their life! If you are an impatient person, let the Word of God help you grow the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) within your heart so you may live a blessed life, and you can help others learn to do the same for generations to come.
