Commitments
(Matthew 5:37/NIV) “All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.”

Listen up, administrators, teachers, coaches, band and dance directors, and all support staff! The school schedule is at semi-rest for a few weeks – that is – until it cranks back up to full throttle for the new school year. In the meantime, there are some commitments you know you must keep, and there are more obligations you’ve committed to that may not be all that necessary. Before you gridlock the entire summer with a slew of things to do - that is, if you haven’t already done so – I highly recommend that you pause for the cause of measuring and replenishing your energy reserve. The best way to do this is to find out from God what things He would have you do, and what things He would have you relinquish since they won’t fit into His plans. After all, His plans are your first priority…right? When you align yourself with what He approves of, you’ll find that your energy will go farther, and His anointing will be evident to you in your activities. You’ll also take delight in the fact that some of your activities will require you to simply ‘be’. Don’t stretch yourself thin. Stick to commitments that are God approved so you can have more time for God and enjoy your life!
