Deep-Rooted Faith
(Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV) But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”
People who are deeply rooted in their faith in God hardly ever worry about anything. Don’t get me wrong, there are times when worry prevails, but faith makes those moments brief. Deep-rooted faith confirms our direct connection to our power Source for life. The foundation of our faith stretches out to resources around us that further enrich our life and anchor us in our confidence in God. We pray, we worship, we study our Bible…we engage in community fellowship. As a result of these things we are blessed, we are loved, and our faith grows even stronger because we know we belong to the Lord.
