Quality Sleep
(Psalm 127:2 NIV) In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat --- for he grants sleep to those he loves.

Depending on what time of day you are reading this, I say to you. “Good morning, good day, and howdy!” How did you rest last night? Were you able to lie down to peaceful slumber in the care of the Lord? Did you have to take a pill or a night cap to help you fall asleep? You can always have a good night’s rest when you set boundaries for the beginning and the end of each day. Between those boundaries, you also need to set healthy limits to how much you do. Many things call for your attention, but you have to remember that you are only one person, and you are irreplaceable. God cares about you more than He cares about most of what you concern yourself with. What matters most to God should be what matters most to you. And God cares that you are able to rest and restore your physical needs each day. Depending on your work schedule, I pray that you slumber peacefully in God’s care when you lie down to rest. May you rise refreshed and focused for a new day full of promise!
