“Life is not what you alone make it. Life is the input of everyone who touched your life and every experience that entered it. We are all part of one another.

Community Cares For Each Other
(1 Corinthians 12:24b-27 NLT) So God has put the body together such that extra honor and care are given to those parts that have less dignity. This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.

God does not intend for us to wait until we get to Heaven before we start living as a community of people who take care of each other. No matter what side of the world we live in, as a caring community we work together to prevent isolation and abandonment. It is good that we share our resources and provide other means of support for each other’s needs. But even more than this, we really need to ‘care’ for each other. Our social interaction is what strengthens the soul of who we are as people. It unites us to each other. We share each other’s good times and bad times. We come, and go, and grow – together. We create the spirit of community that pleases God. You and I – we – are to be a community that cares for each other. Let’s come together and make this so.
