National Day of Prayer
(Mark 22:24 NIV) “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
Our Father in Heaven,
We thank You for being the all-encompassing light of love, truth, and eternal salvation we have to depend on in our lives. There is not a moment that we can do without You. We need You, Lord. Have mercy on us and forgive us when we disobey Your Word. You are better to us than we are to ourselves and to each other. We know we can do better. We know we must do better. With Your help, we will do better. This is what You command of us to do, and it is our desire to please You. We are Your children. When we unite in love for one another we depict the beauty and majesty of Your Holiness in a world that is greatly in need of hope. Teach us, empower us, and direct us in the way we are to help people receive the Good News of Jesus. You are worthy of all You have created us to do in service to the coming of Your Kingdom. Let Thy will be done through the lives of Your willing servants. We bless You for being God all by Yourself and for being the Loving and Eternal Father You are to us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
