(Ecclesiastes 3:13) That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.
Never let the child inside of you die, for that child is committed to the energy of hearty laughter, fun activities, creative imagination, dreams, friendships, family… joy! We grownup folks are still Someone’s children - God’s children. He knows we require time to play as well as time to work and rest. We’re the ones who often fall prey to our jobs and neglect to take a regular time out to enjoy ourselves. Everyone benefits from a respite so they can re-energize! Do this for yourself so you can prevent burnout and have vitality in your approach to daily service for God’s Kingdom. God will be pleased that you did.
