Getting Your Attention
(Psalm 69:13) My prayer is to You, in the greatness of Your lovingkindness, answer me with Your saving truth.

God knows how to get our attention, doesn’t He? Over the past few years, we have seen storms of all sorts take place all over the world. I’m talking about storms in nature, families, governments, businesses, schools, health, finances, you name it! During their occurrences, I heard people saying that God was trying to get our attention. Maybe so, I don’t know. It just seems to me that we would do a much better job of paying attention so the storms would end, you know what I mean? Storms aren’t the only way, and perhaps not even the most effective way God gets our attention. Have you ever petitioned a prayer to God only to have it remain unanswered? That will certainly get your attention, won’t it? Who else can you turn to for an answer when God is the only One Who can provide what you need? There is obviously a lesson on the chalkboard that God intends for you to give your attention to. And, if I were you (trust me, I’ve experienced it time and again) I would really pay attention. Your unanswered prayer just might be God’s way of preventing yet a storm from occurring in your life. Pay attention!
