Take Me Serious
Proverbs 16:11) Honest scales and balances belong to the Lord; all the weights in the bag are of his making.

“You don’t have to dress like a man, but you have to look serious if you want to be taken serious.” Marianne Camille-Spraggins 1945 – present (American Investment banker, Law professor)

I am leery of people who offer me deals. If an exchange is fair to all parties, why is a deal necessary? I mean, are sales really bargains, or are the items merely tagged to make me think I’m getting a deal? I want to be taken seriously when I do business, especially when I’m about the business of Jesus. My speech and my actions and the places I will and will not go are how people can observe me and know that I am serious about my relationship with Jesus. Do the people who circulate in your life take you seriously about your love for Jesus? Let your living be an example of Who you stand for. Make it easy for people to take you seriously when you engage them in a conversation about your Savior. They may end up asking you how they can have a spiritual life like yours. When you tell them how simple it is to invite Christ into their lives, they just might end up saying, “It’s a deal!”
