Your Special Ability
(1 Peter 4:10) Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

“Each of us has been put on earth with the ability to do something well. We cheat ourselves and the world if we don’t use that ability as best we can.”
George E. Johnson, Sr. 1927-present (American businessman and entrepreneur; Founder of Johnson Products Company in Chicago, Ill)

You may be someone whose parent(s) observed and nurtured your bent – the special ability that was apparent about you at an early age. If so, that’s great! You may be someone who doesn’t know what your special ability is. No worries! Some people have several abilities, but every person has at least one. God placed it in you. You just need to explore yourself, and see what your interests are or what talent or skill comes naturally for you. Perhaps someone close to you has already noticed what it is. Once you’ve figured it out, commit it to God. He might direct you to school or under someone’s mentorship to further hone your skill. He might even decide to anoint you in your skill without needing any further training. God can do that if He wants to. However He prepares you to be your best at what you do, know this: God never wants you to be envious of someone else’s ability. You are the only one who can do what you do in the way you do it with the special ability He has given you. Okay? Okay!
