Life Choice
(Galatians 2:20) I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Eumee (pronounced yoo’ mee) was constantly in a struggle with life difficulties, and she could not understand why. She read her Bible, kneeled when she said her prayers, put ‘a little something’ in the offering tray each week, sang hymns and did others sorts of religious activities. But none of that made a difference for her. She had to put that stuff aside and ‘do what she had to do’ to make a living, pay her bills, socialize, and try to get some enjoyment out of life. But an unexplainable void was her constant companion. It was crowding the life out of her; that is, until she finally chose to give her entire self to Jesus. Eumee gave up her way of living so she could learn how to completely live by the instructions of her Savior. Since that time, Eumee tells everyone that her life choice to be ‘all in’ with Jesus was the best thing she could have ever done for herself. Sounds like a pretty smart life choice for Eumee (you and me), don’t you think?
