What Would We Say?
(John 12:12 -13a) The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna!...”

Jesus says in Matthew 24:36, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” He is speaking of His return to earth to receive all who believe in Him. We will not hear in advance of His coming like the people at the festival did as time was drawing near for Jesus’ death and crucifixion. They shouted praise and adoration to King Jesus Who was going to die a cruel death for their sins. I can’t help but wonder what would we say if we could know in advance He was on His way back to earth? Would we go out to meet Him with petitions and pleas, or would we cry out praises to Him? What are we saying to Him in these present times as we wait expectantly for His return? It’s really something to think about, isn’t it?
