Devotion

“Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed.”

Booker T. Washington (African American Educator, Author, Orator, and Advisor to multiple presidents of the Unites States)

The Long Road
(Jeremiah 1:19) “They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

I don’t advise you to take all the shortcuts you can find to help you reach the success you want in your life. The shortcuts may get you there, but you may find that your moment of shine leaves only a vaporous path to reflect on. There is sure to be a void in the purpose of your accomplishment as well. Be patient and courageous. Take the long road with its unexpected twists and turns. If you don’t give up and don’t give in, you will reach more than you can imagine! The beauty of the long road is that Jesus will be your faithful companion and guide all along the way. When it’s all said and done, your journey will be your testimony to His glory, and the purpose of it all will be for God’s Kingdom, and it will never be void.
