“Ask for what you want and be prepared to get it.”

Maya Angelou (African American poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist) 1928-2014

Believe For It!
(Matthew 21:22) “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

Imagine, if you will, the many prayer requests Jesus stands ready to fulfill, but you don’t receive them because you fail to believe that what you ask for is already yours. What is wrong with you? Some people choose to beg, borrow, and jump through more hoops than a tiger at a circus rather than simply ‘believe’ and expect that what they ask for will come to be. It must be they prefer to do things the hard way, or maybe they think Jesus’ way of doing things is too good to be true. If you fit either of these reasons, all I can say is, “Okay, have it your way.” I’m sure Jesus doesn’t have any trouble pouring out what could have been your blessing onto those of us who take Him at His Word and believe that He will deliver on our prayers. Oh, and by the way, “Thank you! That blessing you asked for last week sure came in handy for me today!”
