Devotion

“Sometimes, I feel discriminated against, but it does not make me angry. It merely astonishes me. How can any deny themselves the pleasure of my company? It’s beyond me.”

Zora Neale Hurston (African American author, anthropologist, and filmmaker) 1891-1960

Just Keep Dancing!
(1 Samuel 16:7) But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at  the heart.”

Know who you are and Whose you are, and dance to the beat and rhythm of your song! Do you know why God doesn’t manage a chain of stores or a chain of anything? Because He does not create duplicates – not trees, not stones, not days, and definitely not you and me! Wherever God takes you, and in whatever He gives you to do – you should expect to shake things up a bit. How come? Because you are uniquely made to delight God – not man. It is only when man takes delight in the Lord that he can then embrace and appreciate the qualities of who you are and the gift your spirit illuminates to the world. Mankind is stubborn. Therefore, until it decides to step into the Light – you just keep dancing!
