Through the Shadows
(1 Corinthians 13:12) Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me completely.

Your life in the earth is but a shadow of the ultimate life that awaits you in Heaven. Sometimes I look up to the sky on a clear and sunny day, and my spirit entertains the thought that the light blue hue above me is merely a two-way mirror. Sometimes it appears blue, gray, cloudy, far off or as close as a ceiling I might be able to touch with a strong enough jump from below. While no one can see far beyond to outer space with the naked eye, I am amazed when night comes, and some of the planets and stars in the universe are unveiled for us to view. All of this makes me say that God is magnificent in all that He does, and to think - He does it all for us! Through the shadows of this life, I know God intentionally protects us from knowing all that the present and the future holds because we cannot handle the difficult times that lie ahead. Neither can we handle the magnificence of Heaven that awaits us – at least we can’t right now. But this one thing we can do – we can trust God through the shadows of our lives and know that a bright and everlasting future awaits us.
